Rancabuaya Beach Garut, an alternative tourism destination in Kota Intan
Rancabuaya Beach is one of the beaches in Garut district. Nowadays, Rancabuaya Beach became known and become one of the south coast tourism destination in Garut district. This beach is located in Purbayani Village, district of Carwant, Garut Regency and is approximately 135 KM from downtown Garut.
By administrative, Rancabuaya Beach borders the village of Carwant to the north, and with the Indian Ocean to the west. The south is bordered by the village of Indralayang, and to the east it borders Sinarjaya Village.
Natural environment
Rancabuaya Beach is at an altitude of 0-200 meters above sea level with a rainfall of 1,200 mm/year and a moderate sun illumination and a small wind power. The condition of the beach waters are blue, normal water smell, and normal temperature.
The average wave height is less than 1 meter, and the seabed materials in the form of fine sand, rocks, and rough sand include areas along the coastline.
Slope of the ramps, and overgrown seaweed and green algae as the dominant marine flora. While the dominant marine fauna is tuna fish and coral fishes.
Location of Rancabuaya Beach
There are several routes that you can use to reach the beach of Rancabuaya. You can use the Garut – Pameungpeuk Line – Rancabuaya, with good road conditions.
It's just that there is still a bumpy road around the Dark mountain area but not too long. The other line is through the route Garut-Chambulang-Rancabuaya.

This line is included in the provincial route which is planned to be used as a pathway to the south line of West Java.
Along the way you will be treated to a special green view of the Priangan so it will not feel boring. Just have to be more careful because of the winding roads.

Around the beach Rancabuaya there are many small hotels and villas that you can use. Parking area and also public facilities such as gazebo and Tolilet also available.
Rancabuaya Beach is a type of coral beach and large waves so it is less suitable for swimming. In the low tide, you can see many colorful small fish trapped in the rocks. This beach does not have a sunrise view but is better known for its beauty of Sunsetnya.
